Hot Shot Coil Saver

The Hot Shot permits accelerated shifting of two position (on/off) solenoid valves at full power and then operation of the valve at a holding level of power, saving energy. It can be used to improve the performance of a solenoid valve (e.g. A 50% holding power rating for this unit permits a 12V power supply to operate a 6V solenoid. This provides a temporary overdrive of 12V and a holding level of 6V for operation). The Hot Shot drives electromechanical devices such as valves, solenoids and actuators used in mobile construction equipment and industrial processes. It can improve solenoid life by reducing the holding current to the amount required by the application.
