Axiomatic releases new CAN controllers with 4 magnetic pickup inputs, designed for on-highway and off-highway applications.

The 4 Magnetic Pickup Inputs CAN Converters are designed to measure four magnetic speed sensor frequency signals and provide the measurement results to an SAE J1939 or CANopen® CAN network to communicate with your machine. AX031510 and AX031511 are suited for applications such as on-highway trucks and off-highway equipment.

The CAN controllers are pre-programmed with standard logic and feature all functional blocks independent from one another with the ability to be programmed to interact in numerous ways. AX031510 is configurable via the Axiomatic Electronic Assistant, P/N: AX070506K. AX031511 is configurable using the provided EDS file with standard CANopen® interface tools.

AX031510 — 4 Magnetic Pickup Inputs CAN Converter, SAE J1939

The Magnetic Pickup Inputs CAN Controllers operate on a power supply voltage of 12, 24, or 48 VDC nominal (6 to 60 VDC) and accept four magnetic pickup inputs with a frequency range of 1 Hz to 10 kHz and an amplitude of 0.1 VAC to 100 VAC (RMS). AX031510 features one SAE J1939 CAN port and supports auto-baud-rate detection, while AX031511 features one CANopen® CAN port. The units are enclosed in a compact, plastic, ultrasonically welded housing and are rated IP67 for resistance against dust and water exposure.

Axiomatic releases a rugged Automotive Ethernet to Ethernet Switch, AX141510, that supports speeds up to one gigabit, designed for autonomous vehicles in on-highway, off-highway, and mining applications.

The Axiomatic Gigabit Automotive Ethernet to Gigabit Ethernet Switch, AX141510, is a 4-port switch that enables communication between three 1000BASE-T1 Automotive Ethernet ports and one 1000BASE-T Ethernet port. The AX141510 device is designed for application in mining, on-highway, and off-highway equipment needing camera, radar, and LIDAR interfaces. Additionally, the switch is also designed for application in industrial trucks.

AX141510 — 3x Gigabit Automotive Ethernet / 1x Gigabit Ethernet Switch

The switch operates with a nominal power supply input of 12 or 24 VDC (9 to 36 VDC power supply range) and is protected against surge, reverse polarity, over-voltage, and under-voltage faults. The unit operates at temperatures between -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F) and features an IP67-rated, laser welded, injection molded enclosure and cover.

AX141510 runs on a web server and can be configured through the web interface to act as a Master or Slave for Automotive Ethernet. The Master mode works if the connected device has its transceiver set to Slave mode. The Slave mode works when the connected device has its transceiver set to Master mode. Hard setting the Master/Slave relationship saves on setup-time costs and ensures that the Automotive Ethernet link is established quickly. As a comparison, regular Ethernet converters rely on auto-negotiation to determine Master and Slave.

Axiomatic Technologies Corporation has developed a range of isolated power converters that are suited for use under harsh conditions.

The 18W DC/DC isolated power converters in the AX0823XX series come in three models: 9-36Vdc to 12 Vdc, 12 Vdc to 12 Vdc, and 24V/24V. All units have a typical efficiency rating of 87% and are operational between -40 to 70 °C.

Axiomatic Technologies Corporation has developed a CAN controller with 1 Resistive Output.

The AX030570 unit is a system interfacing module that converts a CAN signal into a resistive signal. It allows analog systems to be interfaced to CAN-based engine or machine control units. A typical application would be emulating an analog joystick or potentiometer.

The AX090690 unit charges two 12 Vdc, 1.2A lithium batteries. It has a typical efficiency rating of 89%. The battery charge status is communicated over CAN.

Axiomatic Technologies Corporation has developed controllers that accept seven universal signal inputs.

The AX1800X0 7 universal signal, 3 RTD inputs, 2 digital outputs controller can be networked to a SAEJ1939 or Modbus TCP/IP fieldbus (in Model AX180000 only). The rugged power supply accepts 12 or 24 Vdc nominal and operates from -40 to 85ºC. The sophisticated control algorithms allow the user to program the controller for a wide range of applications without the need for custom software.

Axiomatic Technologies Corporation has developed a range of temperature scanners that can be reliably used in even the harshest environments.

The AX180800 Temperature Scanner monitors up to 20 thermocouples and 2 RTD’s to provide the temperature information to the engine control system over SAE J1939 CAN bus. The channels are independently configurable as Type J, K, B, E, N, R, S or T thermocouples. Temperature information can include exhaust temperature, winding temperature, and fluid temperature monitoring. All 20 channels of temperature data are automatically sent over the CAN bus when power is applied with no additional programming or configuration required.

In addition to the TC and RTD inputs, there are 4 universal signal command inputs and 6 Form C relay outputs. Integral diagnostics determine thermocouple integrity. All inputs are fully isolated from the CAN lines, and from the power supply. The two CAN channels are fully isolated from one another in the hardware which allows for different CAN networks to be connected. In the software, each will also act independently where incoming or outgoing messages can be configured to receive or send on a specific CAN channel. Modbus TCP/IP communications are also available.

The scanner is enclosed in a rugged IP67 rated enclosure and is suitable for use in control systems for industrial and marine power generator sets.

Axiomatic Technologies Corporation has developed a range of protocol converters to support data exchange between 2 CAN networks and RS-422.

The protocol converters in the AX14032X series act as a gateway or interface between CAN buses with different baud rates and protocols (SAE J1939 to SAE J1939 or SAE J1939 to CANopen®). The prevalence of ethernet networking in off-highway vehicles is growing. Automotive Ethernet and Ethernet networks provide high speed, low latency real time communications for simple controls as well as high-speed sophisticated attachments such as high-resolution cameras used in modern machines.

High Speed Automotive Ethernet/Ethernet Converter, AX141520

The AX141520 Protocol Converter connects 1 Automotive Ethernet port (1000 Mbps) to 1 Ethernet port (1000 Mbps) and has Power, Link and Activity LED indicators. It carries an IP67 rating.

The AX141530 Protocol Converter interfaces between CAN bus (CAN 2.0B) and Automotive Ethernet (100 Mbps). It also has Power, Link and Speed LED indicators and an IP67 rating.

The AX141500 is a simple Converter that connects 1 Automotive Ethernet port (100 Mbps) to 1 Ethernet port (100 Mbps).
