Axiomatic releases an Automotive Ethernet Converter for rugged applications.

The Axiomatic Automotive Ethernet Converter provides a purely physical, bi-directional conversion between Automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1), and Ethernet (100BASE-TX) via PHY transceivers. No packets are stored or modified in this device. The converter supports a baud rate of 100 Mbit/s. Status LEDs provide information on connection link, and communication.

The converter is designed to work on off-road machinery or in a harsh industrial environment with power transients, high humidity and vibrations.

Other Axiomatic connectivity products include the Ethernet Switch, CAN/Ethernet Converter as well as the CAN-Bluetooth Bridge.

Axiomatic products feature auto-detect baud rates for SAE J1939 networks.

Axiomatic SAE J1939 products can operate at standard 250 kbit/s and 500 kbit/s baud rates or a non-standard 1Mbit/s baud rate. The required baud rate is detected automatically upon connection to the CAN network. Auto Baud Rate Detection (ABR) functionality is implemented in our inclinometer and gyroscope family and will be extended to other Axiomatic valve controllers and I/O modules in 2020.

All SAE J1939 controller original configuration can be changed using the Axiomatic Electronic Assistant PC-based configuration tool.

Axiomatic now offers a Triaxial Inclinometer Gyroscope for moving machines with CANopen.

Part of a growing family of inclinometers for machine control, the AX060900, AX060910 and AX060911 measure pitch and roll inclination angles in a full ±180-degree orientation range. The angles can be compensated by a 3D gyroscope to minimize the influence of dynamic linear accelerations caused by vibrations and machine operational movements.

The units can also output: gravity angle; pitch, roll and yaw angular rates; and unit accelerations in three orthogonal directions. The inclinometers transmit angular data over CAN bus using a standard J1939 or CANopen protocol. Models AX060910 and AX060911 offer greater shock resistance.

The unit original configuration can be changed using Axiomatic Electronic Assistant PC-based configuration tool.

Axiomatic also offers triaxial inclinometers, tilt sensors, ethernet switches, CAN/Ethernet gateways, a rugged display and laser receiver for machine control applications.

Axiomatic releases a CAN bus (SAE J1939 or CANopen) connected Single Valve Controller with DIN 43650A mounting style.

The CAN Single Valve Controller, p/n: AX021100, accepts SAE J1939 and p/n: AX021101 accepts CANopen messages to command a solenoid up to 2.5A. Powered by 12V or 24V machine batteries, the DIN 43650A mounting style locates the electronics directly on the valve for distributed control. Other form factors available include a remote mount model, a plug-in for valve molded TE Deutsch DT20 connectors and a DIN rail mount model for control panels. The DIN 43650A models include: analog command inputs and economy versions with fixed parameters. The electronic controls are designed for machine applications with vibration compliance, IP67 rating, and operation from -40 to +85°C. An LED indicator provides status of operation and the M12 connector simplifies wiring.

Using Near Field Communication (NFC), the NFC valve controller is configurable while unpowered. It can be configured from an Android phone application in proximity to the NFC controller.

As a highly flexible controller, the AX022420 valve controller with NFC accepts two command signal inputs and drives two solenoids up to 3A. Other interfaces can include a magnetic pick up sensor and encoder. The outputs are user selectable as high side, low side or half-bridge type. Many control profile parameters are user configurable. A DIN rail mount and a fully sealed IP67 form factor are available. Operation is from -40 to 85 °C. Designed to interface with 12V or 24V battery power, it is suitable for machine and industrial applications.

Using Near Field Communication (NFC), the valve controller is remotely configurable while unpowered via a smartphone application available from Google Play. Bringing the two devices within 2 cm (1 inch) of each other, the NFC technology uses magnetic induction between two loop antennas to communicate within the globally available radio frequency ISM band of 13.56 MHz. Communications have password protection built-in to the NFC technology which is often used in secure retail point-of-sale transactions.
