The AX030430 controller accepts four universal signal inputs and provides four universal signal outputs. The user can configure the individual inputs to receive the following signals: Voltage, Current, Resistive, Digital, Frequency, PWM, or Counter. Two of the four inputs are isolated. The four outputs can be programmed to provide Voltage, Current, Digital, Frequency, or PWM type signals. One 5 V (50 mA) voltage reference is available to power a sensor input.
The 4 Inputs, 4 Outputs Controller has one isolated CAN port to connect with an SAE J1939 networked engine control system (CANopen® available on request). It features auto-baud-rate detection for CAN and can be configured using the Axiomatic Electronic Assistant tool.
This controller can operate with a battery power supply of 9 V to 36 V and is protected against reverse polarity, overvoltage, and undervoltage faults. The inputs and outputs also have short circuit protection. Power, CAN, input 3, and input 4, are completely isolated from each other and from the rest of the circuit. It can work at temperatures from -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F). Its TE Deutsch enclosure is rated IP67 against dust and water exposure.
The device can be used in a variety of applications including, but not limited to, power gen sets engine control systems, and off-highway machine automation.
