The Thermocouple & 2 Universal Inputs CAN Controller was designed to monitor engine temperature and provide temperature data such as exhaust, winding, or fluid temperatures. The AX189001 interfaces with Type B, E, J, K, N, R, S, and T thermocouples (TC) with temperature data automatically being sent over the CAN network. Isolation of the TC input channel and the CAN ports from the other inputs and power supply is provided.
1 Thermocouple, 2 Universal Inputs CAN Controller, CANopen®
An AX189001 controller features two universal signal inputs programmable as voltage, current, PWM, digital, or resistive types. The TC controller operates with a power supply voltage of 12, 24, or 48 VDC nominal (9 to 60 VDC). The device comes pre-programmed with standard logic and features two isolated CANopen® ports. Axiomatic also offers an SAE J1939 version of the 1 TC, 2 Universal Inputs CAN Controller, P/N: AX189000.
The thermocouple device is configurable using standard CANopen® tools and the EDS file provided. The unit is a rugged, compact, molded plastic enclosure. Additionally, the unit is rated as IP67 to ensure suitability for the harsh and demanding conditions of engines.
