The AX030560 CAN to 4 Universal Outputs Controller is a versatile and compact SAE J1939 controller. It offers a variety of output types: analog current, analog voltage, digital PWM, digital frequency, and digital On/Off.

The control algorithms and function blocks allow the user to configure the controller for a wide range of applications without the need for custom firmware using the Axiomatic Electronic Assistant.

The controller communicates over an SAE J1939 compliant CAN bus. It can operate at standard 250 kbit/s and 500 kbit/s and non-standard 667 kbit/s and 1 Mbit/s baud rates. It detects the required baud-rate automatically upon connection to the J1939 network.

The AX030560 accepts power supply voltages from 9 to 60 VDC. It is protected against reverse polarity, surge, undervoltage, and overvoltage faults. It can work in temperatures from -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). Its ultrasonically welded enclosure is rated IP67 against dust and water ingress.

The controller may be used in distributed control applications in:

  • Power generator sets
  • Off-highway equipment
  • Oil and gas equipment
