RS-232 to CAN Converters with 2 Digital Inputs

The RS-232 to CAN Converters with two digital inputs are compact devices for interfacing RS-232 satellite phones or GPS systems with CAN bus in on-road commercial vehicles. The converters feature two fully isolated SAE J1939 CAN ports with auto-baud-rate detection, one RS-232 port, and two timer or digital signal inputs. The RS-232 serial port interfaces are provided with user-configurable frame forwarding system to convert serial port messages into CAN frames. Likewise, the two fully isolated CAN interfaces have user-configurable CAN ID filtering and frame forward system, to convert CAN frames into serial port messages. The RS-232 Controllers provide two signal inputs configurable to measure frequency/RPM, PWM, and digital signals. Measured input data can be sent to an SAE J1939 network or used to enable/disable frame forwarding. The Axiomatic Electronic Assistant is used to configure the controllers.
