CAN/Wi-Fi Modules
The multi-functional, bi-directional interface CAN to Wi-Fi Converters enable a secure and reliable wireless connectivity, even in the harshest conditions. The converters are used in wireless CAN bus monitoring in off-highway, mining, industrial machines, and control systems. The converters offer remote bi-directional CAN bus accessibility over a wireless link and act as a wireless bridge. The modules have 1 CAN port with a configurable baud rate for a high data transfer rate. The CAN to Wi-Fi controllers are rugged, feature an integrated 8-pin TE Deutsch equivalent connector, and feature an IP67 protection rating. The converters are powered from a 12 or 24 VDC battery. There is a status LED indicator featured on the enclosure. The CAN frames are converted into UDP or TCP IP datagrams, and vice versa, sending them over a wireless network using a Wi-Fi protocol. The Wi-Fi connection is provided by an internal antenna. The Wi-Fi port can work in a station or access point mode in a 2.4GHz or 5GHz frequency range.
