These I/O Modules have signal inputs and/or outputs as well as one or more relay outputs.

AX031800, AX031801, AX031850, AX031850-01, AX031850-02, and AX031851 read 12 discrete inputs and set 8 Form C relay outputs while networking with other CAN devices (SAE J1939 or CANopen®) in a machine control system. The units are battery powered with the ability to withstand engine cranking, reverse polarity and transient power conditions. In engine applications, information is provided to the engine control system using single-frame application-specific PDU2 type messages. Outputs can be controlled by any input or CAN message. A bi-color LED indicates operational status in AX031800 and AX031801.

These modules have a number of settings that allow the user to configure them for their application. The Axiomatic Electronic Assistant can be used to configure the SAE J1939 modules over the CAN line. EDS files are provided for the CANopen® units to interface with CANopen® tools.

The units feature rugged enclosures and watertight TE Deutsch connectors. The modules are UL recognized for UL508 (FTPM2) – Controls for Stationary Engine Driven Assemblies and have cUL recognition as well. The control carries CE /UKCA marking for the EMC and RoHS Directives. The AX031800 and AX031801 modules meet the environmental, EMC, and vibration requirements of generator set applications in marine installations and, depending on the model, may have type approvals from several marine societies (LR, DNV-GL, ABS, RINA, CCS, and BV).

Model AX031800 is an alternative to AXDIO128 or AXDIO128-03. The AX031850 features the same functionality in a compact enclosure.
