The Modbus to CAN converters operate as data converters capable of handling communication between CAN bus and Modbus devices on machines. Communication can occur in both directions. The Ethernet port is 10/100 Mbit/s. The CAN port can support high speed CAN with a baud rate of up to 1 Mbps. These devices can interface with SAE J1939 or CANopen®. The CAN protocol is user configurable using standard CAN interface tools. The Modbus to CAN protocol converters are IP67 rated and suitable for harsh operating environments.
