The 4 Universal Signal Outputs CAN Controller can extend machine control networks by adding outputs to the CAN bus. Engine control systems with a CANopen® network can communicate with other signal input devices using this controller as a smart interface. All logical function blocks on the unit are inherently independent from one another, but can be configured to interact with each other. The control algorithms allow the user to configure the controller for a wide range of applications without the need for custom firmware. The AX030561 CAN controller is user configurable via standard CANopen® tools (not supplied). Additionally, an EDS file is provided to interface with the standard CANopen® tools. The controller generates four outputs user selectable as voltage, current, frequency, PWM, or digital and accepts power supply voltages of 12, 24, or 48 VDC nominal (9 to 60 VDC). The unit is a compact IP67 rated enclosure designed for distributed control of power generation, co-generation, stationary power, commercial vehicles, off-highway equipment, and industrial equipment.
