Ethernet/CAN Converters

Axiomatic CAN to Ethernet gateways are used to link CAN bus networks—like J1939 or CANopen—to Ethernet-based systems for remote monitoring, PLC/SCADA integration, data logging, and diagnostics in industrial, mobile, and automation applications.
Axiomatic’s CAN to Ethernet Gateway products are used in industries such as construction, agriculture, mining, marine, transportation, material handling, industrial automation, and power generation—anywhere rugged CAN bus to Ethernet integration is needed for monitoring, control, and data management.
A CAN-Ethernet converter module is a hardware device that bridges a CAN bus (e.g., J1939, CANopen, or raw CAN) to an Ethernet/IP network. It encapsulates CAN frames into TCP/UDP so PCs, PLCs, or cloud apps can monitor, log, or control CAN devices over standard Ethernet. Typical features include galvanic isolation, message filtering, rate/bit-timing setup, and web/REST configuration.
Note: “Gateway” often adds protocol translation (e.g., CAN ↔ Modbus-TCP/MQTT), while a “converter” primarily tunnels CAN frames over IP.
