The Modbus/CAN converter operates as a simple data converter capable of handling communication between CAN bus and a Modbus device on a machine. Communication can occur in both directions. The Ethernet port is 10/100 Mbit Ethernet compliant. The CAN port has overcurrent protection that triggers at 1A, which can support high speed CAN with a baud rate of up to 1 Mbps. It can interface with SAE J1939. The Protocol Converter is IP67 rated and suitable for harsh operating environments.
