AX141510K provides one AX141510 Gigabit Automotive Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet Switch, two AX070168 cables, one AX070521 Ethernet cable, and one AX070528-R2 Automotive Ethernet/Power cable.

The AX070168 cables feature a 4-pin, M12, D-coded connector. The cable is 2m (6.5ft) and features unterminated leads. The AX070521 cable is an 8-pin, M12, X-coded Ethernet cable with an additional RJ45 plug. The cable is 2m (6.5ft). The AX070528-R2 cable is a 4-pin, M12, D-coded Automotive Ethernet/Power cable. The cable is 2m (6.5ft). The cables feature mating connectors for the AX141510 connectors.

AX141510 operates as an unmanaged switch, enabling communication between three Gigabit Automotive Ethernet ports (1000BASE-T1) and one Gigabit Ethernet port (1000BASE-T). The converter supports baud rates up to 1000 Mbps/1 Gbps. Status LEDs provide information on power and communication link and activity. The AX141510 converter is configurable via web interface to act as a Master or Slave for Automotive Ethernet and designed for the harsh environments of off-highway or industrial equipment. The Master mode works if the connected device has its transceiver set to slave mode. The Slave mode works when the connected device has its transceiver set to master mode. Hard setting the master/slave relationship saves on setup-time costs and ensures that the Automotive Ethernet link is established quickly. As a comparison, regular Ethernet converters rely on auto-negotiation to determine master and slave. Automotive Ethernet networks use a 2-wire, twisted pair cable.
