The Protocol Converters with CAN and Modbus RTU or J1587 gateway between two CAN ports and one RS-422 / RS-485 port. Supported CAN bus communications include SAE J1939 and CANopen®. Each model only supports communication with Modbus RTU or SAE J1587. The protocol converters operate from a 12 VDC or 24 VDC nominal input power (9 to 36 VDC). The converters provide isolation to only the CAN bus communication ports (300 Vrms). The protocol converters are user configurable via standard CAN interface tools. The units are fully sealed, compact, and rated IP67. The CAN to Modbus RTU or J1587 converters are suitable for applications such as mobile/off-highway equipment, transport vehicles, and power genset control systems.
