AX141550K provides one AX141550 Gigabit Automotive Ethernet to Ethernet Converter, one AX070535 Ethernet cable, and one AX070537 cable.
The AX070535 cable is an 8-pin M12, A-coded, Ethernet cable with an Ethernet jack. The cable is 2m (6.5 ft.). The AX070537 cable is an 8-pin M12, A-coded cable. The cable is 2m (6.5 ft.) with unterminated leads. The cables are mating connectors for the AX141550 connectors. The AX070535 cable mates with the 12-pin M12, A-coded, female Ethernet connector and the AX070537 cable mates with the 8-pin M12, A-coded, male Power / Automotive Ethernet / RS-232 connector.
The AX141550 Gigabit Automotive Ethernet to Ethernet provides a purely physical, bi-directional conversion between Automotive Ethernet (100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1) and Ethernet (1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX) via PHY transceivers. The converter supports Automotive Ethernet baud rates of 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s (1000 Mbit/s) and an Ethernet baud rate of 1 Gbit/s. Featured status LEDs provide information on connection link and communication. The high speed converter is designed for the harsh environments of mining and off-highway equipment and industrial trucks. Automotive Ethernet networks use a 2 wire, twisted pair cable. Slave mode is the default configuration for the AX141550 Automotive Ethernet, however, the Master/Slave functionality is user configurable via the RS-232 port. The Master mode works if the connected device has its transceiver set to Slave mode. The Slave mode works when the connected device has its transceiver set to Master mode. Hard setting the Master/Slave relationship saves on setup-time costs and ensures that the Automotive Ethernet link is established quickly. As a comparison, regular Ethernet converters rely on auto-negotiation to determine Master and Slave.
